After all our adventures, we're ready to bring this summer to an end.
Just when I was feeling stretched to my limit, Vanny broke his leg and then I thought, "Well, I guess I had it pretty good." But through it all, Van has been such a sweet little guy. Not getting frustrated any more than a typical two year old (and a lot less than most).
Last week, just to tempt fate, we took our two baby girls and our wheelchair bound two year old to Yosemite to camp with GK's family. It was worth every inconvenience (nursing in a tent, cleaning black boogers out of everyones' noses, trying to keep Van's cast dry and clean) for these moments...
And now that we're home, GK's back to work and everyone needs mommy at once, we find ourselves like this...
A foot on each bouncer and laundry and toys everywhere! We've got it pretty good.

Wow, you do three much better than I do two!
First of all: I can't believe Van's hair. It's awesome. Can you guys promise me you'll never cut it, like Samson?

Well I talked to G.K's parents yesterday all about you guys and how you are hanging on to sanity. I feel for you! My stomach actually starts to hurt when I think about your situation right now. Maybe cause I went through something like it, I'm sure you have it even worse than I did, but those were some dark days for me and Jared, and right when the twins turned one I can see the light at the end of the dark tunnel. It is getting easier, so just think to yourself, it can't be this hard forever, it has to get better eventually, right? I pray for your sanity! Take Care!

i'm so glad you guys got to have a "vacation" and although it was clearly a lot of work, the pictures are priceless. can i come help bounce your babies' chairs?

I love these pictures Susanna. All of them. Van looks like he is ready to take the lead in the stage production of "Peter Pan."
And I love the picture of you reading to Van and rocking the girls. I'm sure someday you'll look back on that picture with a little nostalgia and a lot of "how did I ever survive?"
